The first day of my ENG 102 class I thought it was kind of weird. After my first blog, I found the blog topics getting interesting so my mind completely changed. I think my favorite blog entry had to be the archetypes because I never knew that archetypes existed. I actually looked into archetypes more and found them important for knowing more about myself. During the class, I found looking at other class mates blogs being extremely helpful because it helped me out on how the blog should look.
When I took the archetype test, I thought that it wouldn’t say much about me. Little did I know it did. I found out that my archetypes were innocence and orphan. In the beginning I was like I can agree with innocence but not necessarily orphan but when I actually looked into my childhood and my relationship with my father, it became clear as to why one of my archetypes were orphan. Looking at the archetype assignment, I looked at my past and understand myself now. People will always ask me the question, tell me about yourself? And I would tell them about things I like to do and the things I’m most interested in. Now that I know my archetypes I can know tell people more about myself without being vague. I thought knowing your archetype was so important that I made copies of the archetype test and had my boyfriend, friends and family take the test and ironically my boyfriend and I are both orphans. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not but I thought it was interesting.
Looking back at the class now that the semester is over, I enjoyed everything about it especially looking at other blogs. The class mate I think I enjoyed the most was someone from the Thursday class and her name was Jackie. I looked over her blogs the most to make sure that my blog was correctly done and to look at her blog for some ideas as to what exactly I was suppose to do. The blog entry I found the most helpful was determining what were the denotative and connotative symbols in a poem. I found her blog entry helpful because I honestly wasn’t sure as to how to set up the blog and her blog helped me a lot. Another class mate’s blog I found interesting was Iryana Fairies. I found her archetype blog interesting because I really liked her picture she posted and the fact that we had the same archetype.
All in all I loved this class. Although it was just once a week it wasn’t easy. I learned new things that I never that I was interested in but at the end of the day I found very helpful and important. The fact that the class was in a computer lab, I think made it all better. I would defiantly recommend this class to a fried and know at the end of the semester they would enjoy it as mush as I did.
